Conservation Area

Southminster Conservation area is a ribbon of land and houses that run on ether side of the road from High Street at its juntion with Queenborough Road into Station Road as far at the junction with Cherry Orchard.

The highlight of this area is the Parish Church of St Leonards part of which is believed to be 12th century and 17th century timber frames weatherboard and plaster houses and shops.

You can even enjoy a pint in the Station Arms Public House which a unique weatherboard pub which sell award winning real ale to complement it's listed status.

Changed to buildings in this area require approval from Maldon District Council who maintain a management plan.
